Post script to Intranet Social Bookmarking

by Bill Ives

Here is an addition to my recent post on: Playing Tag Behind the Firewall. Like many others, I use my blog as my personal knowledge management system. But now I find that it is awkward for some things. I started making lists of things like my favorite knowledge management bloggers, or social bookmarking articles I found when I wrote the piece on enterprise social bookmarking. Then I would find more blogs or articles. People would refer to others. So I would do another post. But now not everything was in one place.

A wiki would be a good place to accumulate this links. Because it seemed easier and more focused on the issue, I turned to a social bookmarking tool I had written about in the article, Harvard’s H2O Playlist. Playlists are collections of book marks with a bit more flexibility and structure than del.icio.us. Each one can have its own URL. Here is my playlist on web 2.0 and business. Please feel free to suggest additional articles and sites and I need to do some updating to reflect what is going on in this blog. There are 5 other playlists on web 2.0 topics I started that you can find in the upper right column. I find this to be a useful free tool with more structure than del.icio.us.
