Interview with Tim O’Reilly

Tim O’Reilly, creator of the Web 2.0 meme, says that organizations have been slow to understand how “network effects” can benefit their business if applied internally as well as externally. As customers add to what the company knows, should that added-value information be made accessible outside of the company?

This is really a *brilliant* conversation — if you are an entrepreneur, save it, listen to/watch it repeatedly, internalize its insights. If you are an enterprise employee trying to understand what to do about ‘Web 2.0′ / ‘Enterprise 2.0′ — this is a great guide.
