		<description>Thanks for this post and yes indeed, SAP is a fun place to work. 

To clarify a few points about Harmony, it is a social computing beta project for testing the value of this type of application within an enterprise. It is a joint effort between the Design Services Team, Emerging Solutions Imagineering, SAP IT, and product teams interested in testing application scenarios in the context of social computing.  Harmony is attempting to balance personal and professional (task/project/program) information so colleagues are better informed about work, and making stronger connections with on another around the globe.  While it includes similar features for building "My Profile," Harmony is not intended to be an alternative to mySpace nor LinkedIn.

Innovation has always been important to SAP.  xApps, SDN, Duet, A1S are all great examples.  What's new with Harmony includes "eating our own dog-food" before releasing in product, exercising agile development practices to respond to user demand and releasing often to deliver the best possible user experience in a timely manner.  No different than any other start-up ;-&#62;
