Yet, your quote: "I think it's likely we will use it, yes, but I'm not clear yet for which code and when." That just struck me as demuring. "Likely" and "not clear" offers less endorsement than I was expecting, given the level or participation by Sun. But no offense meant. I do hope demur was too strong of a word. We seem to agree this is an improvement. I was using Sun as an example of the complexity and high stakes invloved, as it needs to be so cautious in review even after lengthy participation. How any reasonable analyst would expect Sun to announce the relicensing of any significant code-base under GPLv3 the same day as the final text becomes available escapes me. When the additional fact that Sun is acting as steward in most cases is taken into account, this is so far from "demuring" ("raise doubts or objections or show reluctance ") as to be laughable.
