although it makes sense to avail services of third party providers who mantain client communities (the participating customers will be highly motivated to dicuss and share information and insights) but it also makes sense to cultivate a community of ones own clients.

certain extranet tools like HyperOffice allow you to easily publish passwork protected workspaces for clients with tools like surveys, forums, document sharing, which encourage clients to participate in dialogue and exchange information.

good points, nothing enhances KM like enterprise 2. I'm excited by the prospects that microblogging can offer the enterprise. No, not detailing the minutae of office life, but dispersing real time updates (investor, operational, project status) using all the channels that have passed the test 'o time: IM, email, www, SMS, phone.
We recently installed such a blog for a financial results presentation, where global users could SMS, email or blog questions (or conference call in). What are you thoughts on this?
