Hillary Clinton has more grit and promise for America, in her little finger, than OBAMA and all his the nasty mininions in the 2.0 world. God help "US" and you all if Obama does get the nomination. I am truly fearful for our country, for the first time in my adult life, because of the shape we are in at this time in America. The task is far too great for a rookie senator to successfully address all the tough challenges we face. He, my fellow Americans, is not up to the task. Hillary on the other hand is the only candidate left in the Presidential campaign who is up to this daunting challenge. I suggest we all step back and look at where we are in this country and proceed onward with this nominating process.

Mike - Thanks for adding more context. I like your idea about extending this approach beyond the current campaign to further engage people in politics. Bill

Another great post on the Obama effort, Bill. We are currently organizing for the county conventions here in Texas and, again, the Obama 2.0 campaign is making everything very efficient and effective. Watch the news this weekend, the conventions are Saturday, to see how it turns out. Much like Iowa, the Texas delegate selection process takes place over several steps and the organizational benefits of the online tools are really giving the Obama campaign an edge over the competition.

The new voters, who are also very digitally oriented, gravitate naturally to the online tools. The impact of this community, reaching around the nation on each individual state contest in the form of phone calls to likely voters, the creation of a 1,000,000 person donor base, and the very real feel of a community with a common mission, has changed politics. Smart candidates on all levels will be studying it closely for their own efforts. This campaign will likely extend beyond the current election and impact future policy debates because of the way it was organized by Barack Obama himself as a bottom-up movement.

So the short answer is: Obama has hosted a gathering for conversations...and a lot of people have shown up. Funny how that works.

The train is finally getting a clue...
