I agree Allstate's Social Media Experimentation is good, but they prohibit employees from accessing their social networks. Facebook and Twitter are not accessible in main departments. I think this is a horrible move on Allstate's part. Reason number one, the majority of Allstate's employees are connected to the Allstate network on Facebook. That alone gives the company free impressions. And as you know, the more activity on Facebook, the more impressions the company will have. Now, since they've taken away access to Facebook, the number of impressions drop. Reason number two, Allstate's Twitter account was a great for communicating with Home Office and finding out new information. I know I have found info on Allstate's Twitter and RT it to my followers. Now that they have taken that away from us employees, there's nothing to RT and the thousands of Allstate employees that tweet can no longer do so via web. I understand that production goes down when people access social networking sites, but to completely remove employee access is a bad decision
